Scheduled Messages

Rayo SMS lets you prepare single or bulk SMS campaigns in advance and schedule them for automatic delivery at a specific date and time in the future.

  1. Open Send in the left sidebar (/messages/new).
  2. Select your Sender Identifier, enter your To Mobile Numbers and/or select Groups, and compose your Message.
  3. Click the Schedule At field to open the date and time picker.
  4. Select the desired future date and time and click Apply.
  5. Click Send and confirm the dialog. You will see the confirmation banner: “You have successfully created a scheduled message”.

To inspect all scheduled SMS requests, click Schedules in the left sidebar (/sms_request_schedules).

The Request Schedules page displays the total count of schedules (Number of Schedules) and provides four search filters:

Filter Field Description
Unfulfilled Check this box to show only pending schedules that have not yet been executed.
Mobile Filter schedules targeting a specific recipient mobile number.
Scheduled at Filter schedules by their target execution date/time range.
Groups Filter schedules targeting one or more specific Contact Groups.

Click View on any row in the list to open the Schedule Details page (/sms_request_schedules/:id), which displays:

  • Identifier: Unique UUID of the schedule.
  • Sender Id: The Sender Identifier configured for the delivery.
  • To Mobile Numbers & Groups: The target recipients.
  • Message: The SMS text body.
  • Schedule At: The exact date and time when the schedule is set to run.
  • Fulfilled?: Indicates whether the scheduled time has arrived and the SMS request has been dispatched (Yes / No).

If a scheduled message has not yet been fulfilled, you can cancel it so that no SMS messages are sent:

  1. Navigate to Schedules (/sms_request_schedules).
  2. Locate the unfulfilled schedule you want to cancel (or click View to open its Schedule Details page).
  3. Click Delete and confirm the prompt (Are you sure you want to delete this schedule?).

Once deleted, the scheduled job is immediately removed from the execution queue (Schedule has been deleted) and no credits will be consumed.
