Order History & Low-Balance Alerts

Rayo SMS provides a complete audit trail of all your credit purchases along with automated SMS notifications so your account never runs out of credits unexpectedly.

Viewing Order History

To view all past credit transactions, sign in to the Web Application and navigate to Credits -> Order History (/sms_credit_sales).

Each record in your Order History displays:

  • Sold At: The exact date and timestamp when the credit order was created.
  • Number Of Credits: The net number of SMS credits added to your balance.
  • Amount (Excl. VAT & Paid with VAT): The net monetary value and the total amount including VAT.
  • Payment Method: Indicates whether the order was placed via Credit Or Debit Card or Bank deposit.
  • Acknowledged?: Shows whether a bank deposit or Purchase With Credit order has been reconciled and acknowledged by the administrator.
  • Transaction & Card Metadata: For card purchases, displays the card type, last 4 digits of the card, payment processor transaction ID, and the card payment fee expressed in credits.

Configuring Low-Balance SMS Alerts

When running automated transactional SMS flows (such as OTPs, booking confirmations, or order updates via the API) or scheduled campaigns, running out of credits can interrupt deliveries. You can configure up to two mobile numbers to receive an automatic SMS alert whenever your credit balance runs low.

  1. In the top navigation bar, click Advanced -> Settings -> Low Credit Alert Recipients (/settings/low_credit_alert_recipients).
  2. Enter your primary mobile number in the 1st Mobile field.
  3. Optionally enter a secondary recipient in the 2nd Mobile field (for example, a finance manager or on-call engineer).
  4. Click Save.

How the Dynamic Alert Threshold Works

Instead of relying on a static number that might be too small for high-volume senders, Rayo SMS dynamically adapts to your actual sending volume:

  • Rayo SMS calculates your average daily credit consumption over the last 30 days (DAILY_BALANCE_AVERAGE_RANGE = 30).
  • If your account has no recent sending activity over the past 30 days, a default threshold of 100 credits is used.
  • Whenever your remaining credit balance drops below this daily average threshold, Rayo SMS automatically dispatches a low-balance warning SMS to your configured 1st Mobile and 2nd Mobile numbers.
